Volunteering for Health launch - Get InVOLved Skills

What is Volunteering for health?
Volunteering for Health is an exciting new partnership project exploring new ways to bring the benefits of volunteering to everyone, especially those who might not usually take part.
The project aims to:
- Encourage new volunteers
- Value existing volunteers and volunteer managers
- Help more health and social care organisations get involved.
Why do we need this project?
There is overwhelming evidence that volunteering can be good for volunteers' wellbeing, and particularly benefits people who may experience lower levels of wellbeing. It is also a way to create stronger and more inclusive communities, as well as support health and care services.
However volunteering is declining in Norfolk and Waveney and research shows people want to volunteer differently. we therefore need some new approaches to support long-term volunteering and attract more diverse and younger people.
A new training platform.
Get InVOLved Skills is an exciting new training platform inspired by the success of our popular volunteering platform, Get InVOLved Norfolk. This innovative platform serves as a central hub, offering volunteers and professionals in the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector, as well as those working in health and social care, seamless access to a wide range of training and development opportunities. It’s designed to empower individuals and organisations alike with the skills and knowledge they need to make a meaningful impact.
The training showcased on the platform is provided by organisations, charities and professional training providers. If you offer training that you would like to be added to the platform please complete the form below
