Shining a light on Inclusive Volunteering at James Paget Hospital. Anti-Harassment/Bystander Training Norfolk Community Safety Partnership are working with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust to encourage organisations and individuals across the county to sign up for the online training and make an important step in promoting women’s safety within the county. Following a growing national conversation around women’s safety and workplace culture, the Suzy Lamplugh Trust – in partnership with L’Oréal Paris – offers the globally recognised and expert-approved Stand Up Against Harassment training programme, adapted for UK settings. This interactive programme is free of charge and only 30-minutes long. It equips and empowers participants with practical tools to recognise, safely respond to, and support others experiencing harassment – in public, online, and workplace settings. To date, over 3.8 million people have been trained across 40 countries. Over the last few months members of Norfolk & Waveney Vision for Volunteering have been meeting to address what best practice looks like, and how organisations may need to change their ways of recruiting and recognising volunteers. This partnership of local delivery and support organisations from the voluntary and community sector, community-focused local government officers and other volunteer involving organisations have researched and developed Supporting Volunteers – a guide for smaller organisations . The process has been supported by Voluntary Norfolk and Norfolk County Council.
